Hi Gang, I have been lucky enough to buy Hobbycraft`s P-51 Mustang (Operation Torch) Allison engined version.
What I`m trying to find out if these carried bomb racks as I`ve salvaged a couple from an old Revell kit and I`d love to put on a couple of five hundred pound bombs for a ground support mission look.
Did these birds actually have them ?, as I know that the China/Burma/India versions carried them as flying artillery.

The P-51A was the first version with wings plumbed for drop tanks. The pylons were universal and could carry bomb as well. You should be fine to add them.

Thanks for the reply mate, didn't want to add them and find that they were wrong and screw up a very rare kit !.
