I've been offered the hasegawa 1/32nd ME 163 for free! It's great to have fiends like that. What I'm wondering is how easy is the build, how accurate and what AM is availeable? I'm going to give this kit a go as my first ever Aircraft kit so I want to make a good attempt at doing it justice.

For a long time it was the only 1/32 Komet available, and it's still pretty good. The new Meng kit may look more spectacular, but the Hasegawa will be easier for a first build due to the lower number of parts.

You really don't need much in the way of aftermarket for it, apart from seat belts and maybe instrument decals. Eduard has done a few sets for the Meng kit which you might be able to make fit if you absolutely must put etch into your model

Hi Simon.

I have seen a couple of these built up and they look great.

There are review builds on HS HERE and MM HERE .

Hopefully this helps, looking forward to seeing your build progress.

Cheers, D
