Hello to all,
Now I admit I know nothing of aircraft, so I've come to the experts, the attached photo is from 1971 when a local transport company moved a Ventura bomber 22 km (14 miles) to the port for shipping to MoTaT (Museum of Transport and Technology).
Now my question is: approximately what would the width of the wings in the photo be @ 48th scale ?

Many, many thanks in advance for taking the time to consider/answer this question.

Regards to all

Here you can find a three view with dimensions. http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Ventura
If the drawings is correct (probable) and my math also (barely possible) your 1/48 Ventura should have a 41,6 cm span, and a width with outer panels removed of 20 cm., more or less.

Roger, I just checked the Revell Ventura in 1/48. Wingspan is 41,7 cm and length of the aircraft is 32,6 cm.
