I'm really looking forward to the Pe-2 - and a Gustav from ICM should be awesome after their superb Bf 109F. If they get the timing right to capitalise on the delay before Eduard's re-worked kit arrives, they could have the market to themselves for a while...

Both are of interest to me. I agree with Merlin about timing of their G-6 relative to the Eduard G-6 situation. I also note from Hannants "Future releases" section t hat ICM plans a slew of Do-17 and 217 variants.

A PE-2 - interesting choice and certainly something to consider for the stash.

109G - I would think that is a bad idea after Eduard's release: However, what is the mentioned reworking of the Eduard kit? I bought their royal edition, so I hope there is nothing wrong with it?

OK, managed to find out the Eduard issue myself.

Disappointig that Eduard made a mistake like that, but I am personally ok with a 1/47 Me 109G6 compared to a 1/48.
Must be extremely expensive for Eduard though. Basically all the moulds needs to be redone.

Stil lookin forward to build my Euard Me 109G6 kits.

I'm afraid I find no joy in the popular selections; a 1/144 triple seven, though, makes me realize I have to get a deeper display shelf.

Hi Jesper

I think another problem with Eduard's current Gustav is that it's inconsistently scaled - when we were doing builds for its release, some parts matched 1:48 plans, while others didn't. A great shame after so much work went into it and, as has been noted, it won't be cheap to correct. Full marks to Eduard for doing so, though.

All the best

Hope both the Pe-2 and the 109 G-6 share the same high quality their latest moulds have. Zvezda can score big if these releases hit the mark in accuracy and detail. i look forward to see the upcoming reviews in here

Cheers

I agree Roman, that the Pe-2 is a good choise, Im looking forward to it. However I dont think that the Me-109F was a superb kit. In fact I didnt finish it and it landed in the trash, which is something I normaly never do. I was very frustrated with the overcomplicated nature of the whole kit. It has more parts then most other Friedrichs and Gustavs out there, and also nice details, but that does not make it superb, especially when compared to faar les complicated Tamiya and Hasegawa kits.
