Alfredo how are you going to build the kits ? I too have the kit. A part of me wants to leave off the skin of the airplane so you can see all the detail. The semi clear skin I think will hide most of the detail and to paint it will hide everything. I will follow your efforts and learn from your build.

Alfredo,
At the price of those kits, I'd say it's a great deal. Looking forward to following your build.

I just saw that Zoukei-Mura has released a "How to do it" book about the Horten including how to sand & polish the frosted plastic and make it clear. Solves my dilemma on showing off all that interior detail. Question is, do I have the will power to do all that sanding & polishing and how do I get around the "frosting" of the plastic when I glue it.

COOOOOOL!!! to see that instructions could be cool. Ready the compression stage in turbines Jumo 004. The pieces fix perfect!!! And the instructions book is very clear about discs orientation.

Cheers.

volksusastore.com/scale lists it for $152.00 U.S. dollars. My daughter looks at the Dollfie section.
I'll pass until I hit the pick 6.

Thanks Brian for the answer yes in Volks. The expensive was the delivery, thay only work with UPS for another countries.

I follow wuth the instalation of stators in compression stage.

I noticed that the plastic used to make the kit crack easly!!! so very careful when the pieces are out to use them.

Cheers.

There is not the perfect model now the small details are evident. No nice fit in rings so maybe cya or putty to fix it. And minuscules amount of excesive plastic in blades, a careful use of knife and the blades are clean.

Still with the 004. Putty on rings and the halves of compression stage do not fix, sand required to close correctly.

Both Turbines look like well detailed units, just a bit to clean. A overall wash would help to create shadows and add definition to all the recessed areas. Then a little dry brushing to do the exact opposite to the raised areas that receive most of the direct light.

My only issue with these kits in general is that so much of that incrediable detail is lost forever once the various sub assemblies are closed up.
