Another re-release, the best 1/48scale Fury at the time (late 1970s?). Probably still stand up well today - I'd certainly like one!

Never knew Airfix ever did it at that scale. Whats the detail and fit like?

If my memory is correct it was the muts nuts of Hawker Furies at the time it was first released. Many were converted with radial engines to make Persian Furies etc along with Nimrods. I suspect a trawl through the archives of Airfix Magazine would unearth loads of articles on it. I probably made a dozen or so.

Sweet. I may have to pick one up next time I'm in Modelzone. Although I'm sure the squaw will not be impressed. She went ballistic when I walked out the other week with Academy's USS Carl Vinson that was on a half price sale. Nearly a foot and half of aircraft carrier for less than 8 quid was a damn good bargain that I was not going to miss lol.

I'm looking forward to this one.

Keep up the good work, Airfix.

I'll be getting one of these for sure!
