Hobby Boss have announced two 1:48 scale kits which are going to be released to sale in February 2012.

The perspective in the CAD drawings makes the wings look very uneven. I'm looking forward to actual plastic on these, especially the P-40.

Being a P-40 fan, it's always good to see another one of these "battle horses" coming up. But why must it be another "E(mil)" as we have a brilliant one made by Hasegawa?
I would rather like to see a fine "M" version (so the old crap kit from AMT can be kicked in the bin ..... ) not to mention an "F" or "L" version .....
But I will sure get one just to see how it looks like!

It's always hard to tell with CAD drawings, but this looks like an M, not an E- notice the panel behind the spinner with the perforated vents, as well as the lengthened rear fuselage- check the relative postion of the horizontal stabilizer to the fin and rudder. All P-40E's had the "short" fuselage and no perforated panel aft of the spinner.
