Greetings all

I am painting a few USN planes at the moment and i was wondering what the correct Gloss Sea Blue is to paint them. I have access to Gunze acrylics and they have a color called H55 - Midnight Blue. Is this correct? I am painting an FM2 wildcat and a Bearcat. The instructions call out for Mr Color Navy Blue which i dont have access to as this is different from the acrylics. I prefer acrylics so i would like to stay with the Gunze paints as i really like the finish. Thanks for any help.

Mike,

Gunze Sangyo #54 is a better match for the US Navy Blue as the Midnight Blue would be slightly darker, also Gunze Sangyo #365 Sea Blue Gloss FS #15042 which is a lacquer based Acrylic and is found either as a seperate item or in their 3 bottle aircraft sets, or try the Model Master Acrylic paint for the US Navy Sea Blue {it maybe called Non Specular Sea Blue in the Model Master range}.

Hope this helps a little.
