Hobby Boss have published CAD images of their forthcoming 1/48 scale Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat.

Thank you for posting the images. The third image shows some detail in the wingfold root (inside the inner wing), which is a welcome feature that unfortunately the TBF-1C and the TBM-3 kits from HobbyBoss do not have. Nevertheless, HobbyBoss is to be commended for manufacturing kits of these subjects (TBF1C/TBM and now the F6F) with the ability to fold the wings realistically - and having not to rely on resin conversons that are either OOP (Cutting Edge) and can be somewhat dicey in detail and difficult to cleanup and use. I am certainly looking forward to buildng this kit - with the wings folded, of course.

Cool folding wings and all! I have about 6 Hasegawa cats to get though first lol.I have a few of the Aeromaster Royal Navy markings in the stash for one of these

Well, it is truly golden days for modellers. Another Hellcat - this time with folding wings. They really want to fight Eduard, but the only thing this kit adds is the folding wings in my opinion. The details might not be as good as the Edyard kit, but that is difficult to judge from the pictures.

Anyway, more choices for the modeller is only a good thing
