Under the new owners, Hornby, the new Airfix website has just been launched.
Hornby who took over the Airfix and Humbrol brands after the near extinction of these two modelling legends have redesigned the new web page.

Hi Andy

It's great to see Hornby making such a strong commitment to getting Airix re-established.

All the best

I must admit I got all excited when I got the e/mail stating the site was now live.
I'm really glad Airfix and Humbrol are back in business thanks to Hornby.
I am now looking forward to the 1/48th Canberra being released.
I might even join the Airfix Club as I used to be a member as a kid .

I was a member of the Airfix Club as a kid as well!!

Glad to see Airfix back, but I just wonder about the quality of their kits still - are they going to be as frustrating to build as previously, or will the quality be better?

I am very glad to see Airfix back in action again; however, if you check quantities currently available you'll see they are mostly out of stock on everything. Hopefully that will change soon.

Whatever happened to the recently resurected 1/32 Multi Purpose figure kits???

Are they gone for good again? I was hoping that after they came back with these kits, the next step was coming back with the 1/32 Toy Soldier box sets

Airfix continues to disappoint me. Not long ago, I bought their 88mm gun and tractor only to find all the tracks missing. On top that, they continue to cut the number of parts in each kit they re-release. The latest multipose kits contain 6 soldiers, compared to 16 when they were originally released.

Not happy

Quoted Text

The first in a range of Airfix Doctor Who Gift Sets, this kit will include; The Tardis, and figures of both The Doctor & Martha (from Airfix Website)

Precisely what every market analyst was saying they should have done in the first place

At least the Canberra is still getting listed along with the Nimrod..

Not true. The original Multipose figures were sold in packs of 6 OR 12
