Very nice. I've a Wildcat kit sitting in the ready stack which I'd like to build as an FM-2; this would be perfect for a maintenance diorama, something I've wanted to do for a while but never gotten 'round to. And not to be a nit-picker, but those are radial engines, not rotaries, (at least the P&W and Wrights; I'm not familiar with Gnome-Rhone). Different beast altogether, though they look similar. Radials turn a crankshaft fixed to the propeller. Rotary engines (in aviation) turn the entire engine mass around a fixed crankshaft, with the propeller being attached directly to the engine. I believe military aviation usage of rotaries started falling by the wayside when radials hit the scene right before WW2, though I may well be mistaken on that point. Oh, and very nice site you've got here. Just found it yesterday. Lotsa good knowledge here.

I am a large fan of the Vector resin rotaries for WWI aircraft. Not too many radials in that time era. The Russians used a couple.

Excellent news, I have the 3 resin sets by Cutting Edge for the Monogram Kingfisher but they don't include an engine. So I'm after one for that Mal
