History
The Albatros D.V was intended to be an improvement upon the successful D.III. Unfortunately, despite the more powerful engine, the increased airframe weight meant that the performance gain over the D.III was marginal at best. Still, such was the desperate situation confronting the Luftstreitkräfte that the D.V was accepted for mass production and rushed into service. In the hands of a competent pilot, it made a good enough accounting of itself, and it lasted in service right up until the last day of the war.
the model
The model from 2010 consists of 149 injection moldings and 9 photo-etched parts . Decals are further at the company Cartograf which allow the representation of 5 different models. Also , the model includes various parts such as choice . Optional cooler , windshields and 4 propellers .

As an additional complement the model gets to represent the nails in the hull of the new decals from HGW , to lasered straps and a photo etched coolers . The presentation of the wood look is gripped for the first time on Holzdecals of HGW back , as well as for the presentation of the Lozenge Camouflage . For the bracing parts come from gas patch Models and EZ-Line , for arming parts of the master to use .

Fantastic work. The Albatros D's are one my favourite WW1 aircraft. They are beautifully streamlined when compared to many of its contemporaries.
