Bays Mountain Scale Model Expo
Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, Tennessee, sponsored the 3rd annual Bays Mountain Park Model Expo at the Kingsport Renaissance center. This event took place between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2nd.

We had six or seven vendors show up to the show selling models and modeling accessories. There were fewer contestants than last years show, about 23 total; so it was a small show, but there were many models brought.

Aircraft entries were from 1/32 to 1/72. I hope you enjoy looking at the various aircraft entries whether they be individual models, or model dioramas.

Some impressive models there! I understand the vendors were happy, too. Will you identify the models that won 1st place in the categories?

It is great to see these photos from the Tri City area! I lived in Kingsport back in the 1980s and have fond memories of Bays Mountain. It is great to see that modeling is still alive and well there! Have fun modeling! Mike
