Hanger Queen Campaign

  • move
The Hanger Queen Campaign was recent concluded and was themed around part built kits that had been returned to the stash. The Hangar Queen was an aircraft that was used for parts to make other planes operational. For this campaign the builder had to resurrect the Hangar Queen and get it flying again.

Justin McCracken came up with the idea but due to health issues he handed the reins over to Sean Hadfield. Sean continued to lead the campaign with the following 19 ‘Queens’ were completed built by entrants with some outstanding builds:

About Sean Hadfield (windysean)
FROM: WISCONSIN, UNITED STATES

I picked up model building and HO-scale model trains from my father. I've been working at it now for more than 45 years, always learning more. Although a self-proclaimed cheapskate, I always modify or add to my builds to make them unique and special (for better or worse, ha ha).

Thia was a great campaign. My MPM 1/72 Me 262 fought me al the way and reminded me why the kit was unfinished in the first place. My build literally went to the trash bin and once to the spares box - without the campaign it would probably have stayed there. In the end it got finished thanks to a well run campaign. Great to participate - looking forward to the next one
