CANT Z-1007bis

  • move
This is the Alpha Flight 1:48 scale resin kit with a lot of scratch: engines, propellers, exhausts, weapons and access ladder. A lot of filler was needed too. The camouflage of the CANT is a challenge on it's own, very typical of this aircraft type in the Regia Aeronautica. The airbrushing was done freehand with photos of the real aircraft permanently under the eyes... and a lot of touch ups! This CANT was used by the 63° squadriglia, 23° Gruppo, 9° Stormo, over Malta during day and night operations.

It always floors me when I see a camo scheme like that. What a great job. You know, it would make a nice tutorial feature, because I have no idea where to start on something like that. Something to keep in mind. Beautiful model - congrats. Cheers, Mike

Another great build of you, Jean! These italian camos are really something special for us modellers, maybe that's one reason why I havn't started my Trumpeter 1:48 SM 79 yet. And as Louis presents us his great Sunderland in Malta diorama, these 2 aircrafts match perfectly togehter. Happy modelling Torsten
