I'm just curious, when the forum was first started, it seemed a good idea, but as most of you can see..posting here is pretty sparatic at best. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what you would like to see in this Forum.. Anything goes here...(keeping in mind it is a family site)..lol.

Give me some ideas Ladies..

I am not a lady but...

I am wondering if the whole private forum configuration was the right move. If it was I take responsibility for that. I think we diligent moderation the forum might work better as a public forum.

Also... now that the other sites have launched, particularly ModelGeek, I was wondering if you might be able to broaden the scope a bit more to include all female modelers rather than the (now) implied Armor-only group. I know you guys didn't really intend that but with the site breakup it's going to be perceived as an armor-only group.

Decisions, decisions. I will leave those to you though. Certainly the forum can be placed, named and configured in any way you see best.

Cheers,
Jim

I myself am open to trying anything that will get more people involved. I really don't see any reason why it can't be made a public forum. And if a move to a more appropriate area would help..I'm all for that as well.

I think it would be a good idea to make this a public forum, just so the guys can see what we are building. If we post our pics here, we are the only ones that can view them.

PS. Mary, did you get my email about the 1/144 scale wildcat for a display thingy?

Done.... and I went ahead and tool the liberty of a few other changes (name, location of forum in Network Forums now).

And everyone can read, registered users can reply.

You might want to make an introductory post and sticky it for sort of a rules of the road if you haven't already.

Cheers,
Jim

Hey!!! How come no one told me the girls' dorm was unlocked?! Always the last to know.

I must admit, I clicked on the forum accidentally and when I realized I was in, thought it was a mistake. I actually sneaked around like a guy in the ladies' room, looking at stuff and feeling like a voyeur :-)

Anyway, I think this is a good move. Opening up the forum, I mean. I had noticed that there were very few posts by women in the other forums once the Ladies Forum got going, and I thought that was a great pity. As I said at the start, I'm against segregation of any sort and I'm sure glad it's over here.

As a kick start to participation, how about a Women Warriors campaign of some sort? Either figs, armour, or everything. Serious work only of course, of real women in combat, not the fantasy stuff.

Well I'm glad the forum has gone public too. A modeler's opinion and advice is valued regardless of gender.
As far as ideas for the forum go,how about including membership to non-modeling spouses for education and sorority purposes? :-)8
cheers!

edit: I invited her to join me at the IPMS Model Expo in Petaluma on 6/24. She replied," You want me to go with you to a ' Little Man' show? OK,there's some outlet stores up there" !

LOL! :-) It's actually "Little Man" show as in tiny figures!
Unfortunately,KC is out due to work obligations.Petaluma will be my first show ever and am really doing it for kicks and giggles, nuthin' serious at all. Was going to enter Silicon Valley's 'Kick Off Classic' earlier, but dishwasher made an attempt to sink the house.
Any girlies going to Petaluma?
cheers!
