Completed a project of the DML Black Label British Saladin MK. 2, but - in India Service during Indo-Pak war 1960s. The model, which I picked up for less than $30 from a Cyber-hobby.com sale before Christmas, was built basically out of the box. I added some stowage to it - and a surplus Brit helmet too. Model suspension is very fiddley, supposed to be articulated, but needed being glued for better support of wheels. Had an issue with the lenses for headlights and search light... but overall the kit is a breeze to build.

I painted it in a Indian Army scheme, for Indo-Pak war; used various Brit and "other" markings to mimic use as an Indian Army vehicle 1960s. The kit was weathered using Mig filters, washes and oil brushers but not to show a lot of use - just road dust & dirt. Those oil brushers are super fantastic to use and controlling the effect, though takes some trial and error, is easy once mastered. The weathering sure toned down the camo scheme which is Vallejo sand beige - dark green - earth brown -

The figure peeking out of the turret hatch looking upward for any Pakistan fighter jets lurking about... The figure is a kit bash of various DML figure parts from British set - especially a Monte Casino part for the Sikh head with turban. Comments welcome - and, yes, I realize the Indian Army did not use Saladins - just thought it was too cool to pass up.

Nice Saladin! It's refreshingly different, to see one that isn't British.
