has anyone used Liquitex artist gesso as an airbrush paint?

I like its coverage on pink foam construction and thought a spray would offer less detail obliteration than my current brush method.

if it was thinned, how much % and with what?

thanks

Talked to an art supply store where I bought Gesso from and they do not recommend airbrushing it. Something about the size of the particulates?

Stuff is really good though; Try it with an old airbrush with a large opening .5 and high pressure if I recall correctly.

Try this.

thanks. that was pretty much the result I envisioned but we don't know what we don't know. i'll stick to brushing the gesso for the first coat and then go to the airbrush for the paint layers (Vallejo model air).
