!!!!!! COMPLETE !!!!!!
Resume:kit - most worst kit from Hasegawa.Too old pressform.Fuselage halves different geometry and size, wing same story, all parts have huge pusher pins and lacoons. It's not a H6K5 modification.Overall kit close to Mach2 kits.
My job - create open gunner position, fill tail gun position, bomb racks with bomb, antenna and rigging.Guns from Mikromir - best of the best(metal, higly accurate),Bombs from Hasegawa G3M kit.Blister gun position made same as on G3M,Ki 67 and etc - king pin guns.
Antennas - Uschi elastic wire, rigging monomolecular thread 0.1mm.
Paintig Gunze IJN green and grey, light chipping, color modulation classic few layers different color(doted by 0.2 airbrush) and leveling buff color overall.Watersoluble pen I'm try but not happy.
It's my hardest project after ME232

Beautiful work Alex, the weathering looks great. I especially like the colour modulation on top of the wings, the fading on the flaps varied from the main wings is excellent. The chipping looks very nice and in-scale, as does the rigging.

Cheers, D

Hi all!

Franck, great choice! You'll love that kit! Hasegawa really does know the zero, all of them! The kit you have is a breeze to build and looks great! Best of luck, you're challenge will be the paint job, and that is about it. If you do it as it was in Alaska, they got worn out fast.

I on the other hand will be keeping with my theme of seaplane tender birds, and with the same ship, Kamikawamaru. It has an interesting history, and did pretty good, till ticking off the USN uppers.

My entry is Hasegawa's 1/48 F1M2 Type Zero observation plane, Model 11. This was code named "Pete" by the Allies.

s

Alex, for a guy who can build a "Mavis" so fast, I'm surprised that you've not seen a "Rufe"! Great job on the Mavis!!

More to follow,

John

hello,

unfortunately, I'm withdrawing from this campaign. September doesn't give me any opportunity to work on this model.

And I also lost some of my modelling mojo.

Hey all,

Alex, sorry for the long time to reply. Unless I get an extension I'll have to drop out. Got sidetracked with life and a commission build. The customer always comes first. Sorry.

Anything you can do? I've got the fuselage ready to close, and once done it'll be a quick build. This Hasegawa kit is really nice!

Hate to see only one person cross the line!

If not, it can make to the Hangar queen 10! Ha!!

Let me know.

John

Sorry, John. I never even got mine out of the box I've got 3 air frames incomplete on my bench because some of the projects are taking more effort than I expected. Oh well look, there's a shiny new campaign over there!
