And an AMT Millennium Falcon was stood upright and turned into a skyscraper in Bladerunner as a nod to Harrison Ford's Han Solo character.

One of my favourite movie as well as both characters are - watched it countless times in different versions since cinama release.
Can't believe I didn't ever recognized that - where? Time frame?
... please!!

Thomas, your A-wing fits perfectly. Welcome onboard.

Stephen, I noticed the back had a WWII german engine feel to it, but I suspected that might be from the original models from the movie?
So nothing Revell cam up with, just something that was actually in the movies?

I noticed there was a T-34/76 turret hatch and engine exhaust covers molded into the details of the Bandai AT-AT. Pretty cool.

It's a fantastic film isn't it! Definitely one of the best sci-fi movies made.
The Falcon building can be seen near the beginning after Gaff picks up Deckard and flies over to the LAPD station.

Not the head of highest quality photo, but gives you an idea of where and when.

Also found this one showing the cityscape model with the Falcon highlighted.

To nicely round off my collection of Fujimi's Bladerunner cars, I've had two of the Police Car 27's arrive this week.

This is a rebox of Deckards Sedan, a kit which is now very hard to get hold of and stupidly expensive when you find one. Fujimi just added a set of roof lights and Police decals. So this was an easier way of getting all three.

A few of these cars were built during the filming of Bladerunner (using Beetle chassis's) and while Deckards was featured close up, the others can be spotted in the background. Would be amazing if Fujimi followed these up with some of the other cars built for the film. The taxi and Sebastian's truck were really cool designs that would make great models.
Ideas for dioramas are already forming in my head.

Stephen,
got it - amazing! Thanks a lot mate and I'm quite envious about your kit, great choice and good luck.

I always wasn't probably focussed on details watching this whole nice movie sequence with it's delightful sound, scene and general overview - introducing the city from above.

Thanks for the bump as I had another relaxing Blade Runner evening ...

The 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition (incl. Spinner)
with all available 5 Versions on BD's.
I personally ever preferred the original movie version from 1982.

Well, can I do now call the campaign already "finished" with the Spinner?
Had a really hard job on pulling it out of the box...

Thomas, glad to help. That's a really cool blu-ray set. Not seen it here yet so will have to keep a look out for it as I haven't seen the original cut of the film.
The Spinner looks really nice in civvy colours and the device on the roof did appear on a lot of Syd Meads original paintings. So great to see it in physical form.
Is it about 1/43 scale?

Only DVD I ever bought with a model, was a series of Red Dwarf that came with a small die-cast Starbug. Now that is a spaceship I would love to see in kit form!

Having forgotten about signing up for this campaign, I bought a AMT/Ertl Star Wars AAT(Armoured Assault Tank). I built one back when Episode one came out, picked this one up on Ebay for a reasonable price, it had clearly been stored for years, The box was debted and slightly crushed, the celophhane torn, yellowed and still bore the original price labels(6.99 reduced to 3.49). Fortunately, it arrived yesterday.

So I will be building this.

Thanks Jesper, I had a lot of fun with the last Sci-Fi campaign and will look forward to building something else for this one. I have a Forbidden Planet flying saucer that might be fun . . .

Double Paul: sounds great. Very nice things for this campaign.

Paul, what scale is the Star Wars tank?

Paul,

I built one of these a few years ago and it required a lot of putty work. Love the look of the AAT though, cant wait to see yours.

I am still not 100% ready.

I will do some Star Wars stuff, but not sure what. Choice is between Tie Figther, X-wing or At-AT. I am pretty sure I have to go AT-AT.

I've got a temporary desk set up in the workshop, but still haven't unpacked my tools, paints, etc.

Edit to add. Got a Stormtrooper, TIE LN, and B-Wing. Not sure which I'll start with (probably the Stormtrooper since I'm out of practice).

Shelf-garage-hangar queen campaign builds until 2047...
I'm moving my unfinished armor campaign build off to the side to start on this one this weekend.
Wish me luck!

David, I hear ya. We're in the process of finishing a house renovation.

Let's see...starter pictures. I'll be using the Pegasus T2: Judgement Day Aerial Hunter Killer...in 1/32 scale...as the basis for a kitbash. The plan is to make it in to a piloted air support/ground attack aircraft to support the invading forces of the Val Empire. The backstory will explain more...but that's down the road a bit.

sci-fi-V_01

sci-fi-V_02

sci-fi-V_03

I took a gamble on this kit. I wasn't sure if the size would be right. Primarily, I'll need enough room to add a cockpit for the 1/35 pilot. It passes the eyeball test so we're good.

The kit itself is pretty simple..69 parts, according to the box. The detail isn't bad. The parts are pretty thick and sturdy. The hull interior has a lot of molded in bracing...it reminds me of the old motorized kit hulls. It should be workable.

Howdy Y'all
I am going to do a figure this time. I picked this up last year and a game shop. I don't know much about it other than it's for D&D. I don't play the game but I like the figure of the Phase Spider. I'll probably deviate a little from the "official" colors.

Looking forward to everyone's builds.
Take care,

Here is the temporary workspace:

Start Picture for the Stormtrooper. Will not be done as a snaptite. Internal structure will be painted Aircraft Interior Black. It will be a non garrison unit so dirtied up will be the order of the day.
