Chavdar,
I really like what you done with this bird. Your level of detailing is excellent.

I have one question: How did you go with the vanes on the wings. Did you foil them? Both?

Thanks,

Gaz

Superb work.

Is the MiG15 covered well in any scale?

This should be in a museum once finished.

Your work just demonstrates how desperate we are for a current standard (injection) 1/32 new tool MIG-15. I can't believe how a famous world changing aircraft like this is so poorly served in 1/32!

Superb work mate!

I was amazed at your efforts until I saw the slip marks on the tires; then I was blown away! BRAVO Sir!

Subscribing to this one! I am thinking about doing this kit for the Foreign Fighters campaign in North Korean markings. I got this one many years ago and was able to get hold of the Cutting Edge cockpit, wheels, and intake splitter (before I was blackballed) and the Squadron canopy. I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with it!

Hi Chris
there are a tons of things to fix and the first is the unmovable part of the canopy - with a lot of rework you can make something close to the original one:

Also the vertical and horizontal stabs need to come in shape:

The length of the fuselage is ok for me, but there are a tons of missing panel-lines, rivets and technical doors that I will try to recreate
If you take some aftermarket goodies - etched set from Part and metal gun-barrels and pitot-tube from Master you can make an great Mig-15 Bis from that poor-detail Trumpeter kit.

Cheers friend

Hi Chavdar I have the same kit in my stash as well, what exactly needs changing in the kit? Is the profile wrong or have trumpeter simply used a Chinese produced Mig15 as their prototype and this differs from the Russian produced example? I ask as I'll be building mine sometime soon (Don't we always say that? LOL) and I'd like to know where and what to correct.

Hi guys

It is time for the new project at the right scale

The model is MIG-15 BIS by trumpeter at 1/32 scale, BUT in the box is anything else but not MIG-15

So we must to re-work almost all of the parts - with a lot of scratch and aftermarket photo-etched from PART

Cheers
