Beautiful work, inspiring.

Can anyone recommend a 1:48 kit for this bird and it's bigger brother to the O2 Skymaster?

Read this the other week and go to thinking.

The only 1/48 L19 Bird Dog model ever produced was the (now) very rare "Model USA" kit that was released several years ago--in fact I think it was the only kit they ever produced. I built one for commission about ten years ago, it's an OK kit but has a few fit issues. They can still be found on eBay. For the -O2, there is the old 1/48 Hawk kit which comes to mind, which was later reboxed by Testor's and later Italeri. It's not the easiest model to build either, with lots of filler needed to close gaps. A web search will turn up lots of builds of this one, and it's still readily available. The Roden kits in 1/32 are much more accurate/detailed, and from the sounds of it they may be easier to build too. And don't let the size put you off--they don't take up too much space since they were small aircraft to begin with.

That's a lovely build (even thought L-19s are supposed to look like this)

There's one small thing I noticed in the photos. The right flap is lower than the left one. If the ground crew don't fix it, the pilot will be sad

___Google translate___

Thanks Russ, sounds like it might be a research project.

Right, I have a little twisted. But it can be improved so the pilot would be happy

I have my eye on that kit. Was it difficult to build?

It all depends on the modeler, I personally did not see any difficulties in construction, and the model itself was created in a week !!!

Dla mnie to była łatwizna !!!
