I also forgot to mention-- admission is free for those who bring thier model collections-- the one caveat to that is you need to be set up by the Museum opening time of 10 AM Saturday, so as not to interfere with incoming Museum visitors. The Museum will allow load-in of models on Friday night after 3:00 PM at the south entrance, otherwise, the load in will start at 7:00 AM Saturday. If you think you would like to participate, PM me and I will forward an email from Tim Nelson, the show "Guru" with complete layout instructions.

Mark, thanks for posting the photo. That one under the SR71 is about eight tables shy of a complete photo, for others who have not been to this exposition of modeling art. I also forgot to mention workspace is provided for those who want to work on models too, It gives non-model builders a chance to see model builders at work, and ask questions, as well as a place to gather when not visiting the museum exhibits.

Russ, I can't make the show. But let's go big time on this:

Typically over 2,000 models on display. I think that the record was well over 3,000. We get modelers from as far away as Oregon and Canada bringing their models for display.

Just a "bump" in this announcement:

Quoted Text

-- If you are in the Seattle area next weekend, you can take in one of the world's premier Air museums, and a model show at the same time!

The Seattle Museum of Flight (MoF) hosts the Northwest Scale Modelers (NWSM) exhibition in February every year. This year's exhibition/show is being held on February 17-18 in the Grand Gallery near the Lockheed SR-71. This is an exhibition of the model makers art, not a contest, and hundreds of models of all kinds are on display from modelers around the Puget Sound Region. The MoF has exhibits from the dawn of aviation to the 787 Dreamliner, with hundreds of actual aircraft on display, including dozens of WWI, WWII, early aviation, Golden age and Space age aircraft, all beautifully preserved and under cover. If you are in the area, it's a great opportunity to see one of North America's premier aviation museums and take in a modeling show at the same time! Here's the link:

The Museum of Flight is located South of downtown Seattle at the west side of Boeing Field, with easy access to Interstate 5 and the Seattle-Tacoma airport.

Just a "bump" on this announcement-- if your are in the Seattle area next weekend, you can take in one of the world's premier Air museums, and catch a model show at the same time! You can see everything from a B-17 to a Dreamliner, WWI and II aircraft fully restored, as well as aircraft from the dawn of aviation to the Space Age. Join us this next weekend-- if you're a modeler in the local area, you can bring and display your work as well-- all types of models are represented.
