Some great efforts underway already. Kevin's C47 looks superb and it will be fun following the Cessnas.
Well here's the start to my contribution to the no-combat aircraft campaign
A couple of firsts, a transport plane and a 1/144 scale kit. I like a challenge but it will need some guidance along the way.
A Handley Page Hastings C3. The Royal New Zealand Air Force had a fleet of four in the 1950s and 60s.

As befits its scale, there isn't too much parts wise. I have cleaned up the pour stubs and the gaps between wing and body don't seem too bad. The rear fuselage section is marginally wider than the front so will lose some detail smoothing that out, not that there is much.

There are also four metal props, three wheels, two wheel bay doors and two metal wheel struts.
the first tricky piece is the cockpit windows. They are detailed as deep indentations. I have some thoughts but any clever ideas to deal with these and have a better representation of the glass?

cheers
Michael
