Laid my grubby little paws of a 1/35 DMl MD 500 Defender. Am planning on making it up Israeli. Anybody have a lead on Sky Decal's #18 sheet, Israeli Helicopters? I need the Defender Squadron markings, the older (No blue disc) Southern Cobra Squadron markings (I read a handful of 500s were assigned to work with the AH-1s), Hebrew lettering , chevrons, national markings and any stenciling that the Defender used. I'm still debating on which unit to do. Any leads, please let me know. Oh! Also still looking for 1/35 M-134 feed chutes and empty shell tubes.

I would think that anything special ops would look exactly like a normal H-6 any "Black" chopper would not be black.

I presume, the only time you would know its a "special" is if you see it sitting in the air outside your front door and you were a bad guy. The black paint is temporary. the squadron markings may be on Patches.

Though I know Blackhawks better the Loaches.

Huh? As far as I know ISRAEL never used AH/MH Little Birds. Hughes 500 Defenders were (usually) TOW totting (I have seen 70mm rocket pods on them) attack helos. Most were with "Defender Squadron", Advance Helicopter training and Tactics School operated them, and Southern Cobra Squadron operated "a hand full" along side their AH-1s. (Not sure the story here. Might have been prior to the TOW equipped AH-1s coming into service .... to provide TOW training for the Cobra crews and TOW ability to the unit and back up the non TOW AH-1s) All front line units. No "black helicopters" Now, b
ack to our regularly scheduled decal search..
