Thanks Bill. Yes, all 3 aircrew have full bodies, but the turret gunner is molded with his hands against his knees and an unusual appendage that the machine gun mounts over. If I had spent more time test fitting the turret assembly together, I would have seen that his shoulder needed to be sanded off to clear the escape hatch.

Ki-46 armed variant update.

Used decals from spares to give my plane some instrumentation.

Crew figures are all painted. Made seat belt harnesses out of electrical tape.

Finished painting on the interior sidewalls.

Pilot and rear positions are painted. Everything is ready to be closed up.

Update on the Ki-46 armed variant.

Can't stand to see a void in the wheel wells, so I scratchbuilt a detailed insert.

Added the twin 20mm canons to the nose and the 37mm canon along the dorsal spine. Now the Dinah has some claws!

Added a gunsight above the instrument panel.

Update on Ki-46 armed variant.

Fixed soft detail on landing gear. Added a compression elbow and wiring.

Attachment of the wings went smoothly. The wing root required NO putty. Yeah!

The propeller nacelles required a lot of clean up. The mold seams were very heavy.

Gaz, Yes, the Modeling Gods were kind to me when it came to that wing root joint. Hahahahahahaha. I'm wiping out some tough seams right now with some putty work. Also started painting on the landing gear and ventral side.

Upate on my Ki-46 armed variant.

Wheel wells and landing gear assembled and painted. I added a retraction arm to both.

Base coat painting complete. Vallejo acrylics were used.

Up next is gloss coating as preparation for decal work.
