Hello all,

Ever thought of sharing images or story of your build. Well now is the time. AeroScale is looking for contributors, to include build images, build stories and/or blogs, reviews of items you may have, and more. If you have something you think would be good for AeroScale, please let me know or one of the other staff members.

AeroScale does receive review items from manufacturers and vendors, and we always look to previous contributors to share these items with to provide reviews and builds.

AeroScale is a forum for you, model aircraft modelers and enthusiasts, and works best when you contribute. Become a contributor today.

I'd love to participate--I just can't figure out this photo-bucket stuff. Seems like a way complicated method of posting photos for an old Luddite like me. As my programmer daughter says - PICNIC Dad-- Problem In Chair, Not In Computer.

Don't feel badly about not understanding Photobucket. Not even Photobucket understands Photobucket these days; the site is mostly broken. There are other good photo hosting sites out there on the interwebs which are easier to use.

Jessie-- I've been looking at something called Imageshack-- anyone got experience with that? I guess my biggest concern is viruses and the like-- how susceptible are these sites to that, and would it work with Kitmaker Network? Are there fees associated with these sites? If not how do they stay in business? --Guess I'm really showing how much of a Luddite I am!

Try http://tinypic.com/ it cannot be easier... choose the photo from your computer, click upload now and you get a link to post here.

Go ahead, you will get experience quite soon! And just ask for any information you need, both forum members and editors will be glad to help.

Get one of this of the size you need:

Again it cannot be easier... plug a mobile battery charger and you have enough light for a decent photo.

It's very rewarding see your work online and get comments!

I've used Imageshack in the past and had no problems with it. It's a free site, which means that you're going to get advertisements, and possible they'll sell your images to the highest bidder and set tracking cookies on your computer. I had no concerns about viruses at all. Remember, anything "free" is worth exactly what you paid for it.

Ok-- I have a question for all you computer wizards out there-- I use my iPad for most of my work-- can you use ImageShack and upload photos onto Kitmaker with you iPad? I can clean the cookies off my IPad, not so sure about my computer.

Just a note, if you want to submit a build story or images of your builds for an article, you don't have to worry about ImageShack, etc. You can bundle the pictures, and submit then via email to us, and we will take care of posting them for you.

Kevin-- that's fantastic! Is there a tutorial here on the site for submitting articles? I'd love to submit an article or two-- I've done that for another site in the past.

I used one of those "free" photo services for quite some time, until they changed their user conditions. Problem is now that I have a lot of pictures in aeroiscale forum threads that are hosted on that site, and as soon as my subsctiption becomes void all those pictures will disapear.

I asked staff-jim if there was an automated way to transfer these pictures to my albums on kitmaker and get editing access again to my old threads to change these but no reply so far.

For features/reviews this is not a problem as you can always send a zip to a staff member and they upload those pictures together with the article.

Hi Kevin,

Haven't read all posts yet and have idea: will you edit the original post and put the URL for the review samples in it? Some folks don't notice it on the homepage.

Also, if folks who want to submit reviews need some help/guidance, they can contact me, too.

Recently I created a forum post with step-by-step instructions for uploading photos to KitMaker (KMN), and then posting into forums. I'll submit that when I'm back on PC and until then, you can find it under forums on front page of RailRoad Modeling, here at KMN.
