I think I might reprise my 1/48 roden sopwith strutter comic from the ole devils in the dark campaign that I barely started. I just had it out a few weeks ago wondering If I was going to need an excuse to start it back up. Just have to see if it still peaks my interest come september

Man, I'd sure like an excuse to build my GWH P-61, but I'm already way over-booked. We'll see...

first i'll finish all the campaigns who i took part

And after that, i'll build two F6F-5N nighfighter (in 1:72 and 1:48) and i think that the 1:48 will have a visible engine.

I have an Eduard F6F-3 that I was researching to see if the Quickboost 48185 1/48 F6F3N Conversion Set for Eduard would let me use these to enter.

Have been a bit scarce on line of late. Had my telephone and internet line cut at home back on the 5th May,,,,,,still waiting for it to be fixed.

Any ribbon designers around? A candle in the darkness?

What size do I use on PAINT to make the ribbon? I played with PAINT and came up with this (not very good a paint yet)

Ribbon size is 20 Pixels x 50 Pixels, so most details will be gone - Good luck!!

Not bad. I already designed some for various campaigns (last one used was for CBI).
Best way is to start with a size of 200x500 Pixels and than scale it down to 20x50.

Are you using Percentage or Pixels to format? I tried the Pixels and when I put 50 in it would automatically place a number that I cannot change.

Cannot say how "Paint" handle the conversion as I use PaintShop or Corel PhotoPaint. There you can specify the format and the Pixel-ratio. Finally it should stay with the 50/20 ratio. Try to "export" the file as a .gif instead of "saving as..." or "resize".

Okay, checked "Paint. Started with 500x200, converted to .gif and resized to 50x20, works! If your template has a different ratio (for example 620x380 disable the hook at "aspect ratio" to type specific rates you want.

I have the ribbon saved as a gif and it is at 35x20. Do you want me to send it to you?

BNot necessary, I used the one you posted if I may. Transformed to 50x20 with Windows Paint.

Its all yours, just show me some time (I need visuals) how you sized it to the 50 x 20.

Alright, try to give a short visual instruction - hope that helps. Sorry, cannot change the programm's language but when comparing the screens you wil see what is meant.

WOW! Thomas that was a great lesson, even I understood what you were putting across. Thanks I will play with the settings to gain some experience for future ribbons.
