Stefan,
this is another lovely parrot in your cage. Congrats on this one. And the base is really nice, too. How did You do the cracks?

Thanks.....now a little break from all the "Doras". Here comes my new "Lippisch P13a".

The design of a delta wing interceptor with a vertical jet engine designed by Alexander Lippisch came about towards the end of the Second World War.
A new drive concept with the help of coal dust or coal preparations was planned for the Lippisch P13a.
A propulsion-free prototype was built with the help of students from Darmstadt and Munich under the designation "DM 1" (Darmstadt Munich 1) and was found by US troops shortly before the completion on the airfield "Prien am Chiemse". It was brought into the USA for further investigations.

The kit comes from Revell/Monogram. Colors from Vallejo and Revell.

Ha, that's a nice little model, Stefan! Have the same oldie hiding somewhere in my stash. I guess, it's a quick build between bigger projects. How's the fitting?

Thanks, Torsten. And yes, you're right. It was really a quick build. The Lippisch has a quite good fit. You only have to fill and sand the seam between the wing halfs and the fuselage halfs. That's all!!
You will see my Lippisch next month at your show in good old Mannheim...

So long, mate

News from my workbench: it's Special Hobby's "A5M2b Claude" in 1/32 scale. You all know shortrun kits and know about the difficulties with the assembly. Also with the "Claude". But it was nothing you can not cope with.
Built out of the box. Colours from Revell, Gunze and Vallejo.
Pilots are from CMK....absolutely great!!!

Cheers
Stefan

That's a nice build, Stefan! Can you tell a bit about unit and pilot? You know, I'm always interested in that ....

I'm a bit on the slow side with building models at the moment. Still have that "holiday relaxing mood" after returning from lovely Latvia earlier this week. But I've aready started working on my Hurris again ....

Thanks for your kind words, mates!!

Joe, my photosessions are always quiet simple.
For the background, I simply use a blanket of blue velvet.
My photo camera is a Nikon D5300. The camera is mounted on a tripod and the pictures I shoot by remote release. That's all.

Torsten.....hey, hope you had a good time in Latvia?!
We went from holiday on Sunday. However, we were in southern Italy (Apulia). 41°C and many mosquitoes, as one looks forward to good old germany.
My Claude belonged to the 14th Kokutai and was captured by the Chinese in 1940. But I can not say anything about the pilot.
Will we see us at the end of September at the exhibition in Augsburg?

By the way......here is my new P-47D "Thunderbolt" in french service. Kit from Hasegawa in 1/48 scale. Built out of the box, colours from Vallejo, Revell and Gunze.
My P-47 shows an aircraft of the Groupe de Chasse II/5 "La Fayette", Amberieu, September 1944.

Cheers
Stefan

Hi mates!!!

What lately left my assembly line: Tamiyas Fw 190 A-3 in 1/48 scale. Built out of box. Only some photo-etched harness, the antenna wire is made of stretchy yarn, and the plastic barrels of the cannons in the wingroots I have replaced with cannulas.
The 190 is completely painted with Revells Aqua Colors.

My model shows the "Black 13" of the 8th /JG2, France 1942.

Cheers....
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
nice Fw 190 there! Well done mottling and not too much weathering. Is the "Abgasadler" (search for an english translation for that .... ) painted or have you used a decal?
The A-3 was one of my first airbrush kits some 10 years ago. I have built the bird of "Assi" Hahn.

Torsten

Btw, my next model comes from the other side of the Channel, not only the original but also the kit. Ready in a few days ....

Thanks, Torsten.
The "Abgasadler" is a Decal. It was an easy project, because of the good fit, and my first attempt in mixing colors.
But now here comes a new member for my "Dora-Family"......but without a red and white striped "belly"....
It's Hasegawa's Fw 190 D-9 in 1/32 scale. A great kit with nice details and a good fit.
Colours from Revell and Gunze.
My "Dora" shows the "Blue 10" of the 4./JG 26, Operation "Bodenplatte", January 1945.
