Beautiful! The paint job is very good as is the weathering. Great job!

Gunsights arrived, very nice detail on them and they are six in package

Canopy put in place, also the antenna and the other small bits.

Cheers!

Venelin,

Your 109 looks really great! You have proven a steady hand with the camo and the weathering is spot on. The Revi was worht waiting for, too! I like espescially the tiny things as the insulators of the antenna!

I have the old Tamiya E-7 in my stash, so I will bookmark Your thread as a reference if You don´t mind.

Congratulation and thanks for sharing

Thank you, Oliver!

Of course I don't mind using my build as reference, I'm glad that is helpful
The Weekend kits are really pleasure to build for the price

Cheers!

I like the gunsights too, never used such nice things before

Also I had some work on the base too-it's simple, only a palm and some desert tufts here and there. Leaves will be put later

Thanks, Joe!

I didn't took photos of the progress, but the base is quite simple:

-picture frame 15x20cm;
-ground is tile grout Keracolor, it's colored-beige, leveled with spatula, and after that some foot and tire prints;
-various acrylics when dry-light brown, sand etc.;
-desert tufts and rocks here and there;
-palm trunk is from wood branch, bark removed, cut with modelling knife and painted;

I've made similar base for my Alamein Sherman here:

Venelin

Great modelling. The base adds a lot to the display of the model by showing how well the desert camouflage works.

Venelin,
I've been following your build, and the results are simply outstanding. Just the right about of detail, a perfect camo paint scheme, and just enough weathering to depict a well maintained operational aircraft.
