Back when Bandai made military models, they made four 1/24 WW2 fighters. This is their big N1K2-J Shiden, "George".

Fred,
Just an excellent review. Are you planning on building this monster sized kit? If so, please do a build blog, as I'm quite sure I'm not the only one interested in seeing one built up.

Nice one Fred

I remember looking enviously at pics of this kit in Scale Models magazine in the '70s. I agree with Joel - you must do a build of this beauty.

All the best

Hi Joel, Rowan; I do indeed intend to build it. And I certainly will do a blog. The big thing that I must resolve is: will it be OOB or shall I attempt to gussy her up?

These older kits are what they are, and I think this is a fair overview of what you get: not up to today's standards, but with its own charms and its somewhat unique size. Good review, Fred!

I've got this beast queued up next in line.
Going to scratch build a LOT of the interior as whats there is either wrong, missing or not up to snuff.

I'll do a build thread if you all want?

Build pics if you are curious what can be done with this kit.

Hi Shawn

That's looking stunning!

And, going back to your previous post - yes, please post updates. I want to see the finished beauty on the front page.

All the best

Thanks guys!

Not sure if you are on Large Scale Planes but I have a build thread going over there.

http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=60708

Hope that isn't Taboo

It would take way to much work to start one here and catch it all up.
