Been waiting for the DMold site to start excepting online orders as their web site says that they'll be open for business on 9/2. I've tried several times over the last month to order some AM parts for the PV-1, but there doesn't seem to be a way of placing an order.

Does anyone know if they're open for business yet?

I don't know about DMold, but Ultracast has a nice selection of products for this kit including Vector props, crankcases and cowlings.

Brian,
That's for sure, but I got all my AM parts from Sprue Brothers. The resin is all by Quickboost except the wheels and tires which are by Ultracast, and the PE is by Eduard.

I just ordered the Quickboost corrected props from Sprue Brothers over the Vector set because they come with an alignment jig, while the Vector set comes with new Crankcases as well, which I don't need as I bought the Quickboost engines, so I don't need the crankcases.

I just checked the DMold site and there still isn't a way to order the corrected fuselage chin. Still waiting for a return email from them.

Hi Joel,

that is why I buy so much stuff .. get it while you can... I waited years for the re-release of the Do 17Z tail correction of Dm itri.

OTOH he is very relyable. I never had any problems with the stuff from him. I'd say just wait a bit more..

As for Vectors prop: it is just great. You do not need a jig as the prop hub has a small tongue while the blades have a small groove .. so the porp just clicks in place

BTW I think the DMold bow is that much better that you should definitely wait for it!!! And you can buy it without the closed bomb bay...

all the best

Steffen,

Thanks for the information.

One thing that Brian pointed out is that there are sure a lot of AM parts for major corrections rather then just part upgrades.

I've emailed DMolds just trying to get some idea of when the eShop will be open, and if the part is actually in stock as it's listed. It's pretty easy to see that this is a home part time business. I've spoken with a few guys that have been waiting for almost 3 years for the S-2 tracker parts. I can only wait so long.

Earlier today I got a reply email from Demitri, the owner of DMolds. The e-shop is back online, so I headed on over, and bought the chin correction part. Lets see how long it takes to get a packaged from Russia to NY.
