@ Michael, Thanks for the ribbon.
@ Jeff, I airbrush the smoke ring by free hand, they are not decals.

I'm glad I was able to finish on time. Now I'm moving on to the Hanger Queen 6 campaign here on Aeroscale. I have two Sopwith's which have been languishing partly made on the shelf.

So long everybody, it's been fun.

Gary, Thomas while it might look like an I-15 its actually its predecessor the I-5 done up in 1942 cammo when they were pressed back into service. By then the aircrafts would have been 8-11 years old.

Thomas- Awesome looking Bulldog! The rigging is great and nice subtle shading makes it really a fine looking AC.

Richard,

I agree we need more Polish AC. I have all of Mirages 1/48 Polish AC in my stash.
I also have a few TS-11, But what I would really like is a nice 1/48 kit of PZL-50 or 56 and any size good kit of LWS-6 (PZL-30) The Polish made some awesome ugly AC.

Nice looking biplane. The engine is particularly well done. The fabric detail is pretty good on these PYRO biplanes - not the overstated ribs and valleys, much more like thee real thing. Kudos!

Fellow builders, it's done!

Finally I call this stoneage Pyro-Kit of a Bristol Bulldog officially "Finnish'ed"!
Not quite happy with my selfmade decals as I mentioned before and the paint I chose but I think the overall look isn't bad at all. My first time ever of fully rigging and completing a biplane this way, what gave me some headache.
It's the only kit available in 1/48.
Build is representing "BU-216" from the Finnish Airforce (should be a MK IIa - anyone spot the difference?) donated Dec 1939 as one of two by the Swedish Airforce, formerly silver painted and roughly overpainted .
After short combat action while the "Winter War" 1939 they served later as advanced trainers. So not much weathering on this well maintained aircraft. Reference photo see below.

Some more pics at daylight:

Thank's for looking and a big Thank you! to the host of this funny campaign!

@ Richard - I thought I recognized the SAAF decals. Well done on the Fury.

@ Daniel - The Storch is looking awesome, and very fragile - not something I would attempt to build - I think I would break everything at least twice (before I even painted it)

Excellent job as always Daniel

@ Jeff - Congratulations on a very nice model!

Jeff, Casey & Daniel: Well done and very nice building and painting on your kits. The Storch's camo looks great and the PZL have a fantastic overall look and detail!
The I-15 must have seen a lot of combat and flight hours
Congrats for all your work and thanks for sharing!

Nice PZL - too bad we don't see more Polish aircaft. Looks very fine.

The Storch looks so fragile. I couldn't see myself building one in 1/72 scaale - amazing. Nice work.

Well I'm calling this one done. I would like to add some weather and exhaust marks but if I rush it will not turn out. Maybe I will get back to it one day.

This is a PZL-23B "Karas" of the 31. Eskadra Liniowa, 3. Pulk Lotniczy.
or
31st Squadron line, 3 Air regiment. Karpaty Army 1937.

I like to do different subjects for decaling than what you typically get. This one is from Lotnictwo z Szachownica Issue 18, No.2 2006.
I chose this one because it is from Werynia Poland east of Krakow in the old Galicia region by the araea my Grandparents migrated from.

All decals "Polish Emblem included" on this model except the number 7 were done in Adobe Illustrator and print on my HP color LaserJet.
