It occurs to me that next year is the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The way campaigns are stacked up right now, any new one would be starting in the spring of 2015. So, anyone interested in a Battle of Britain Campaign to honor the anniversary? I'm thinking anything that flew over the British Isles from July through September, 1940 would qualify, but I'm certainly open to ideas!

Fine suggestion my good man. RAF, Luftwaffe and Italians. How about considering the defences on the ground as well, they played a very important part.

I'm in! - A bit of a no brainer for me, I live right in the middle of where it all happened, just a few miles from the Battle of Britain Memorial, and Hawkinge is just up the road (where the movie was shot).

I like it! Too bad if it's 2015. Anyway, my growing collection has nothing British-- the flashy Spitfire or the noble Hurricane.
Count me in.

Can't have a BOB 75th Annie without a proper campaign. Hopefully, Airfix has their new-tool Blenheim out before the start. I know the Canadians shot down two of those over Britain in 1940.

Yes I believe there will be spitfires for me here. But that new do17 calls to me as well. It's just a damn shame no one thought to do a a battle of France 75th along with armorama. I fear it might be too late for it now.

Good Lord! This has been up, what, 4 hours? And we already have 8 interested! C'mon everyone, just a couple more and I can approve it. Possibly a new record!

OK count me in, it will be something Hawker, so that's a Hurricane then but what scale?

Lets see I have Hurricanes in all the main scales, 1/144, 1/72, 1/48, 1/32 and 1/24 but I think the 1/32 will be out as I want to finish that as a Belgium Air Force aircraft.

Mind you if I've found a 1/48 Ju-88A-4 by then it could change.

Ok, you twisted my arm, I'll make it ten Michael!

No idea what I might build, but we have plenty of time to scour the online stores and LHS's.

Cheers, D

Hi Michal

Is this meant for next year? - the dates on the Campaign page are 2014.

I'll join if it's really for 2015.

All the best

Nice to see the admin was kind to you, Michael, and approved this with light speed.
Now your going to have to design a great looking ribbon. I don't usually put my name on them without a pretty collection of pixels. It makes the campaign page look bad. Call it superstition.

Whew! I hesitated to enlist when I thought it was going to have to cram into my busy 2014. I'm enlisting now, and I hope to give this one the attention it deserves!

"Give me a squadron of Spitfires"

Funny what a person remembers from childhood. I remember hearing that sentence while watching the movie on the big screen when my allowance was 2-bits and I could still get into the movie with a bag of popcorn and a drink.
