Master Box usually concentrate on 1/35 military figures, but they occasionally stray to other subjects. This set of figures can make up a nice little Battle of Britain vignette, or set off a Spitfire model. Jessica Cooper has built the figures for us.

Oh, kewl, I was asking about Kiwi pilot uniforms just the other day. I was told that they were basically the same as RAF uniforms. And now you've provided the color references

Neat kit too, love the dog and parachute...

Good stuff! Did you do the stripes freehand?

I did the black background, let it dry and then applied Future (before I did the various washes). I painted the pale blue last, and when it was partially dry I scraped off the black portions of the stripes with an old dental probe. They're still not as neat as I would have liked them to be.

Very nice. I just feel the Irish Setter could have been slightly lighter and more toward reddish orange. Although, they do come darker.
Figure's are harder than most admit to, with humans being any color on the flesh scale.

He insisted on being dark. Probably because he loves to roll on the oil-soaked grass under the engines. I did find an image which proves that Master Box knows about the counterfeit Rottweiler colours though.
