Eduard have released a highly detailed Brassin cockpit for their quarterscale Spitfire.

Hi Rowan,

Excellent review as usual...

Here are two pictures that could be helpful. The first is a comparison between the original kit's cockpit sidewall parts (above) and the Brassin ones. The second shows a completed Brassin cockpit.

If you want you can add them to your review.

The fit of the Brassin cockpit within the fuselage is very tight. Make sure to trim the bottom part R8 as much as possible.

Cheers Jean-Luc

I will include them.

As you know, it was my original intention to build the standard and "accessorised" Spits side by side, but lack of time - and realising I seriously need to practise, as I haven't had a chance to build anything for so long! - has meant I've concentrated on just the standard version. I've resisted the temptation to do a blog, in case of disaster, but it's approaching final painting so, touch wood, I'll show some pics soon...

All the best

Rowan

great review! I have the eduard kit - im waiting for the brassin engine to be released that is what i would like to add to this kit.

I just think the cockpit oob is so well detailed - as in the photos above... that i wont need the resin pit. this is a compliment to Eduard they did not scrimp anything on the base kit.

best
