Jessica,

My thanks to you and any and all involved in the preparation of this feature and getting it published. However, I'm just curious about why a few pictures were omitted. Firstly, are spacecraft not considered appropriate to Aeroscale? Secondly, what about this thing:

It actually flew! Work on it started at the Airborne Forces Experimental Establishment in Manchester, UK in 1940 by attaching rotor blades to a jeep. Nicknamed the ‘Rotabuggy’, initial tests involved dropping the jeep from heights of a few yards while it was filled with concrete to demonstrate it could take the impact without damage. It's first test flight was in 1943 and considered limitedly successful.

Cheers,
Jan

Hi Jan,

The spacey things belong better in Modelgeeks but the Rotabuggy was missed out by accident. It's in there now.

Thanks Jessica I'll make a note of that for the future.

Cheers,
