Japanese aircraft have always been a been a popular subject with modellers in large part due to their highly colourful nature.

This campaign would be open to any Japanese aviation subject, military or civilian. Any era. 1:200 to 1:24

So that would include

JASDF

JGSDF

JMSDF

Japanese coast guard

Japan Air Lines

All Nippon Airways

Imperial Japanese Navy

Imperial Japanese Army

The campaign calendar is full for the rest of 2013 so this would be a proposed 2014 start.

If it runs in 2014, count me in also. Got several japs in my stash, but i reckon i'll pick the Hayabusa Ki 43 from Fine Molds to tackle along. Nice idea for a campaign btw.

Cheers

Howdy Y'all
I'm in, been wanting to build my Hasegawa Ki-43 II or a Tamiya A6M5; both in 1/48 scale.
Good subject.
Take care,

This is the kind of thing that finally could push me over the Japanese border! I've got a few kits of WWII Japanese fighters, maybe that Fine Molds Ki-100 that is quite a looker?

Sign me up for a probable!

I guess about 25% of the kits in my stash who scream "Build me!" wear the meatball I sure join the party with 1-2 IJN and/or IJAAF props.

I have Academy's 1/72 Zero, and an old doyusha 1/300 E767 Awacs... will be keen to build either one, but dependant on campaign date, duration and my own schedule

May I also suggest using the Rising Sun flag (with the "sunburst" rays) as the campaign ribbon? I feel this is a good symbol to represent the Japanese military, which is still used in the present day.

Cheers!

I can see this. I have three of Hasegawa's up to date 1/32 fighters and could probably be persuaded to do one. Count me in!

I have two of these in stock, plus 4 other twin engine jobs with meatballs on the wings. All of them just looking for a reason to tempt me.

Ben, very interesting subject, I'd love to see that.

Mods, any chance of this being a goer for 2014?

I guess I will not start actually building kits until I stop spending all my time visiting internet modeling pages; but committing myself to BUILD SOMETHING will be my first step.

I volunteer with my quarterscale OTAKI-ARII RAIDEN.

(At least I will not spend years deciding the camo scheme)

I can't see why not. you just need to submit the proposal and we'll take it from there.
