Hi folks

Well ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, After a nine month stressfull period of Family Scratchbuilding, I would like to show off our latest build.

We have called this figure build Arron .



The wife and I supplied the materials ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Kaz did most of the scratchbuilding ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I kept my self busy with ancillary projects on the 1:1 diorama to set him in (STILL VERY MUCH A WORK IN PROGRESS) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, We had a lot of help at the end from a team of highly specialised finishers who brought this important project to a stunning conclusion last night.

Was a bit of an early finish and slightly ahead of schedule but all important kit parts and detailing are in place.



Proud daddy now has a boy to help Holly and Jasmine get stuck into the Model Stash.

Thanks to one and all for the very kind comments. As you will probably tell I am proud as punch of my growing family from the latest addition to the yummy mummy who cooked them to perfection in that great figure mold.

I think it is time to put away the specialist tools for this type of model building as the aftermarket additions that are necessary to finish these figures off are getting very very expensive. I need to be allowed to get time to build at least a couple of new models for the Perth show to show that I can finish something plastic.

With Jasmine and Holly enjoying the building of models there is a possibility I might bring them along to show them what their potential is if they stick in and keep it going.

You may want to touch up the seam lines around his armpits.....a bit of excess glue still there.

As you mentioned, the AM items for "1:1" scale figures can get REALLY steep, let alone adding anything like a vehicle, too!

On closer scrutiny of the packaging it is clear to see that I cheated and bought an old ERTL kit. Unfortunately like a lot of old kits you can buy off of EBay this one did not come with instructions. I wonder, since they have long since broken the mold, will I even be able to get replacement parts now.

Fortunately, the wife and I have had reasonable experience with older kits and I think you will agree that we did not too bad a job. In the three weeks since we have completed the kit, some of the weathering has worn off. Our clothing and furnishings have suffered a little as a result.

Would strongly recommend anybody attempting a kit of this nature wear ALL the appropriate personal protective equipment. Also to have suitable cloths and cleaning fluids ready at hand for the inevitable spills and cleaning up after.

Facial expresions were a little hard to capture but I have included a few of my first attempts until I caught the best.
