Hi, I have built some military kits in the pass, now i want to return built military models ( would like in 1/48 or 1/35 ) and i need your help to choose this model: i like the British/Canadian subject (like Dingo, Scout...) and i would like use some after market in this model (resin/etched-parts) or conversion.
Thanks in advance. |

No experience with the kits, but I hear that the Miniart Dingo is an excellent build, as are Bronco's armored cars. I believe there is quite a bit of AM available for the Bronco kits. |

Jeremy, in my opinion and , I think most of us work in 35 th scale because you can put in a lot more detail the larger the model is. If the Brittish tanks and stuff ,have your interest , then by all means find some models of such things as they are always available either at hobby shops or on line. Exactly what you choose to build is entirely up to you. Everyone likes different things and for someone to choose for you ,one model over another might not work for you. I am glad that you are takeing an interest in the hobby. I enjoy it quite a bit..........Al |

Jeremy, have you looked into the old tamiya universal carrier kit? the northwest europe one (with relaxed crew) comes with markings for the canadian 3ID in NWE. good kit with room to expand with resin and PE. |

Hi British or Canadian. How about a nice Staghound Amoured Car. Available from either Italeri or Bronco. Here is the Bronco one done by the very talented Rick Lawler and here is the Italeri one done by the equally talented Anthony Sheeds Out of the two the Italeri may be the easiest to get hold of. You'll need to replace the barrel on the Italeri one as it's incorrectly shaped. Both have pros and cons. PMMS reviewed both if you need further info to help make a choice. Bronco Italeri Either would be a great choice. I believe several companies do PE detailing sets and I think Hussar do replacement wheels for different tyre types. Alan |
