Good morning my friends,
A question from a railway neophyte.
Will UK scale OO carriages look out of place hooked up to the 1/72nd Trumpeter BR-52.
Been asked to build a dio of Adolphs luxury train at Berlin station...!
Must be over 40 years since I last built a train kit.(probably an old Airfix, which would now provide my pension
Any help much appreciated as usual and apologies for intruding on your forum

Well, OO is 1/76 (.2) and so it's a little smaller than 1/72. It may be noticable, it may not. It kind of depends on how you place scale pieces against different scale pieces.

Hope I helped,
Cuhail

Jimlolok,

OO is 6% smaller than 1/72. Some folks may notice, but if you are using one of the larger DRB lokos, the difference ought to be lost in perspective.

If you want to go to the trouble and expense, Revell and Italeri/ESCI made/make several HO German dampflokomotiven: DRB Baureihe 050 Lokomotive , and 2-3 coaches. You can easily match these with HO figures, vehicles, and buildings.

Fred (above) just opened a thread on this subject. I think the link he pointed out there would be useful here too.
