Ok...so Im plugging along on my Leopard 2 and Im almost there....right at the very last stage.

I have it mostly all complete, the painting, weathering...everything is all done and have done a good job If I do say so myself. All i need is antennas to make it a complete piece. I went to pick up the model...and snagged one of the tracks on...something..i forget at the moment and they snapped. Not at the weld point but at a random link. Now I have a very awkward looking one track german leopard.

I swear...get the beast nearly close to completion then this happens...it makes you really want to tear your hair out. By the way i really hate Italeri tracks.

You are not alone here. Ive always had a soft spot for Italeri, but their one piece tracks are rubbish. Too stiff, donīt accept paint well and were not glueable .... donīt know if this has changed, since I havent used any for many years. Actaully ... havent bought an Italeri tracked vehicle for many years either ..partly to do with this problem.

Staple them back together and hide the joint under the skirt.

Cant...

Already glued the side armor to the hull...dont know how to thread the track up under the side armor without breaking anything...and the track link broke at the center hinge..suffice it to say..the italeri track is now useless...i will need some sort of replacement

Unless i come up with an idea for a Dio with one half of the tank buried in mud or snow

I hear yah...there's always one model that gives you fits. My 2010 challenger convertible is mine...been close to done 3 times now...my own fault of course, but it's alittle annoying.
Are the wheels glued stiff or can they rotate? You may be able to roll a new track on there. Hey, on the brite side, you attached the track together so well it snapped other than the kit connection point...that in itself is an amazing feat!

OK, so go & buy the Resin Bergepanzer Bueffel, to do a track replace dio,
or get the Trumpeter Fransika, for a recovery scene, you know you need to
or on third thoughts, Bronko do Leo 2 Dhiel tracks, AB3528,

Dude, just display the tank on it's "good" side. Seriously, I have a few airplanes in my collection that are missing half the decals on one side or the other because of mistakes that I made. Put the good side facing out and no one will ever no the difference.

So thread the track up under the skirt on the sprocket end, superglue it to the sprocket, run it around to the other end, thread it around the idler and under the skirt, and superglue it to the idler. You can even cut out a couple of links so the ends don't butt together and make it more difficult to get it tight.
