Hello,

Call me stupid, but I can't figure which part is used for the board on the back of the turret with the big "51" on it.

See example:

I searched the whole box and manual, but nothing... There are however two decals for it

On a side note, why does Dragon makes such a bad manuals? The Abrams is a great tank, but I wasted some much time figuring out the manual.

There are so many different tanks to build, and so many options, so why don't they just tell us what option to use for what tank? Tamiya can do, so why can't they?

This is my first modern tank I'm building, I know nothing of Abrams version, and options, some help would be appreciated, that's why there is a manual in the first place.

Sorry for my rant, but I just don't understand it, do they love difficult and bad manuals? I do like the Dragon kits, but alone for there manuals I sometimes prefer to choose a different brand.

Greetz,

Dave

P.S. To the builder of the Abrams in the example above, great build, and thanks that I can use it for information purposes only.

The drawings in the manual show that the version of the 3rd ID has this part, however there is no step for attaching, nor can i find it in the box.

But there are decals in the box to attach to the part.

Who van solve this mistery for me?

Thanks!

As Ric says above, simply cut a piece of 0.020 sheet plastic to the size and attach it to the bustle rack extension. Paint and add the decal.

Dragon assumes that most of its customers are moderate to advanced modelers. Some steps are not shown, assuming you will figure it out.

Thanks!Glad you find it usefull.

That part isn't in the box. It's scratched from plastic card.

I'm having same difficulties with dragon tiger #6406.The instructions aren't specific enough(but that is the price for lots of parts and options).So...you are not alone out there.
As a tip:use lots of reference and ask around.
