nice idea Paul and the clay seams to suite you well for sculpting, is the clay an oven bake type as in polymer ? If so this is very suited to this type of sculpting as you can play around with it forever and not have to worry about it setting untill you want it to. Are you planning on adding any cloathing, maybe some rags etc ? Steve |

Hi Steve! Yes the clay is a oven baking type. He is going to have full armor, something like the Black Orcs from Warhammer .That is why I didn't lose too much time with the body. Most of it is going to be covered up by the armor. But I am going to show some parts that I really like how they look. At this stage he resembles a lot to the HULK. |

Thanks Marcel! I find the armor really difficult to do but I'll try to build it as best as I can.It will have to be really complex with lots of details and huge number of parts and lots and lots of spikes. Here is a lot of progress to the head. The eyeballs and teeth are made with milliput.I am pretty satisfied with his facial expression so far...really angry fellow. |

Thanks Scott!Really glad to hear it!
If I plan to cast it in resin how do I cut the arms and legs? They have a milliput and steel wire structure. Is it posible or I decided too late?
If it helps...the figure is 17cm tall(ground->top of the head).I planned it to be a 1/16 scale. With full armor he will be almost 3m tall. |

Paul love the face - a lot - as to the armour - break each part down to each part and take your time (this is what my teacher tells me ALL the time) -as to the wires and arms cut tru with a jewlers saw then rebuild any damaged detail at this stage and also set some locating pins as well Ian |

Looking great so far Paul.. He is a really angry fellow and i feel sorry for anyone stepping in front of him . He is looking a bit too large for an Orc tho.Maybe resemble more with an Ogre. The orcs are human size build generally with more muscle power. The twice the size creatures are usually Ogres or Giants.. But anyway he looks great. Keep up the good work. Cheers. |

He's based on the Black Orcs from Warhammer. Not exactly picture like, but rather my version of an Orc creature, with stronger legs to support the big upper body weight and armor. They are much larger than warcraft orcs. |

You are making some good progress on this one Paul, i like the idea of having the poor bloke being held by his arm but you might want to drop his head more forward if he is supposed to be dead as at the moment it looks like he is suporting his head via muscle use but his face doesnt look like he is concerned by his predicament. Just a observation mate to make this even better. Bye the way is that a torso from a 1/16 miniart figure you have used for the human figure , just looks familiar ? Steve |

Paul some very nice additions to the dead guy, im guessing he died a horrible death of being pulled apart at the waist. The small scale chain worked out really well for this project and i like the armour you created for the figure, very nice. Steve |

Steve
I think he was hit once with the big axe and then pulled apart. The orc holds him by the arm to discourage the other humans. The dead guy being the leader. Quoted Text

Shame on me I just noticed this post though it is active since August. I watched step by step and impressed so much. Great job my friend. I loved every step of this built but I wanted to share my humble opinions with you. I am obsessed with the axe of the human figure. I believe it could be better if the figure had a weapon other than the axe as both the Orc and human has axes and carried on the same hands, same side. Maybe a sword could look better..and how can a human losing the lower part of his body can firmly grab an axe? I loved the designs on the armor and shoulder guards. Please keep us posted on this great built. best regards |
