Hi! I´m In!!! Given the subject of the Campaign and the timeframe, this is the perfect opportunity for me to build the Heinkel He-177 Grief from Special Hobby in 1/48! Subject may change tough, you´ll never know what might turn up! Cheers! Stefan E |

i'm in with revell 1/72 lanc done up as EMM of 207. The flight of Wallace McIntosh. Bomber Commands leading "ace" gunner with eight kills and 1 probable over 2 tours including three in one night.
I'll need a bit of research into the nose art as this is not a commonly modelled aircraft which is surprising considering the crews achievements.
Will certainly be the biggest project I've taken on. Looking forward to it.

I'm in. I can think of three potential subject from the Swedish "Bomber command" of the forties, but haven't got a model of any yet. Hampden is cool, and we did have one for testing, Caproni 313 could ba a full year project, considering the vast amounts of windows and the need for interior, Ju 86 is possible too, especially since the Swedish airforce museum possibly have got the only one left. BUT, if I can get hold of one of these (rather rare) ones, I'm going for a SAAB B 18. Anyway, it will carry two engines, internal bomb bay and three-crown markings! Tony |

Well now it's "Official" / "Approved", so put a string on your finger or mark your calendar or whatever you do remember it doesn't start until January 1st, 2010. Ten on board but there is room for plenty more. Gallery for Campaign Photos is at Big Beautiful Bombers Gallery |

I've got an A20 G I really would like to make some progress on, but considering its so far off, I suspect that I'll hold out for all the resin/PE extras and make a project out of the B17G languishing on my shelf. |

I'm signed up--but have no clue as to what I will build yet. I will wait and see what will be built by others. I'm thinking B-17, B-24, or possibly, maybe a B-29. I will probably be in 1/48th scale. Maybe someone will build a PBY Catalina bomber-lol. I think I heard or read that they carried bombs or depth charges? in case they encountered enemy ships. |

NIce to see so many of you taking an interest in this campaign. As to what I will build I have been thinking along a different path. B-36, B-47, B-66, B-52, Gotha, Lancaster, B-58, just to name a few that I have been eyeballing. I am probably going to stay in the smaller scales though as ye' olde' display cases are filling rapidly and even in 1/72 some of these things are huge. Thanks again for your interest guys. "Q" |

Great idea, many Tupolevs around.. Tu-16, Tu-22, Tu-95 and a Tu-160 all 1:72, Italeri, Esci and Trumpeter. Just need some time and a clear workbench too. I'm in for sure. I might try the Big Bear.. I'll have time to think about it.. |

I was number 20.
I have 3 of the 1/48 B-17s. I will be doing one of them for the Might Eighth. That will leave two of them for me to consider. I also saw Revell is going to reissue their 1/48th B-24. I would love to get my CA covered fingers on one of them. I also have a Ju 88/188 with resin engines. Maybe a Val or a AEG G.IV. I might even wait to see what Wingnuts is going to tempt me with.
Love the ribbon. |

Carl, Thanks for the kudos on the ribbon and for joining our little expedition. I'm still deciding what I want to build. I have been buying more kits than should be legally allowed here lately and should probably be getting myself focused on what I am going to build for upcoming contests and also for these campaigns I have signed on for. Looking forward to getting started myself. Might even build a bomber before the official kickoff just to get warmed up. Thanks again, "Q" |

Copper State?....Eric?...hes a pretty interesting fellow to chat with and makes some really choice models too...whats he got coming,Terri? huh?huh?huh?..... Id LOVE to do the Gotha...logistical issues prevent this from becoming more than a slightly warped dream of mine: 1- My wife would probably commit not only a moral, but quite probably a federal offence if she found THAT box in our house!...I dont think shes the kind of girl who would do well in prison.. second........this is more difficult than the first....lack of funding.. Third.....I think id need to find a home for this monster once it was built since I dont have money to put an addition on the house right now .. I can always dream .......and mabe plot to bribe my wife somehow ..lol...Terri?...suggestions???!..lol |
