Hi everyone, I have done some progress on my build and I am starting this topic. First car, Ommr gondola, is almost finished, just some details to be added and load of coal. Building log available here: Ommr logThere are some pictures: Now I am working on Balduar low-sided wagon. Many details is about to be made, using PE or resin casted parts. Actually casting is very funny thing. Here are some pictures of the silicone mould and the final cast then. More is again in building log at my website: log I have started already my work on the other cars and a locomotive will show up soon. Any comments or ideas are welcome. Libor |

I am working already on another wagon, the tank car. There is a picture from my progress. I also working hard on my moulds, first pieces for coupling system came out and the grease boxes for wheel bearings. Microcracks can be seen only at extremely zoomed picture. Thanks for looking Libor |

Libor, Is there any way I can get some of your resin castings? I have a dilemma regarding bits and pieces. Please let me know. Mike |

I´d say no problem, Mike, but what are you looking for? So far I have just a few moulds, air hose valves, coupling system, but not complete, I can use hooks from kits, so I needed just arms for helix part, and the helix part itself. I will scratchbuild the rest with lead wire and hexagon rod for bolds. I am still not sure to make mould for buffers. The other things I already have, are to be used on steam locomotives, like steam heating valves or other special parts I am going to make. Yes, the spoked wheels for my wagons and smaller ones for BR 52 lead wheel. There will be about 25 moulds in the near future, but again, just very special things, usefull only for steam locomotives builds. These are parts not coming with the kits or bad looking, if provided (sand pipe valves, lubricating system, steam valves, pressure air system etc.) I use high quality silicon and resin 2 components for moulds, 2 for resin, 1 litre bottle 60 euro each, so I do this just because I need 5 or more pieces for all the builds planned. Another thing is the master, it easily takes 20 hours to make difficult one: check the pictures here Just let me know, what would you like, I think I have some spare pieces. Libor |

Hay Guys If anyone is instrated ABER has a set of photoetch and couplings for DML’s Drasine’s. The couplings are very very nice. They also work. ABER # 35107 Wolf |

Thanks, Fred, It is a nice sheet from Aber, but it won´t come cheap. Good value, if someone builds a panzerwagen, definitely. I have finished the Ommr and the tank car is almost done as well. Some pictures here, also detail of the flexible air hose. Starting with a covered car now and will paint all of them together later. Thanks for looking, any comments are much appreciated. Libor |

I started two other cars already. Have spent 20 hours to get the upper body of the covered wagon fitted and glued together, the worst job I have ever done. Still needs some more work to get it fixed. The sides of the passenger wagon are glued as well, toilet added. Now I am looking for references to upgrade its interior. Any help or advice welcome. Thanks for looking. Libor |

I made small progress, the covered car´s chassis finished with brakes and air system, I have solved missing part, the front side of the brake cab. Also some footplates are missing in the kit, I will have to scratch build them. The passenger car got shelves, hangers and inside lights, time for primer and sandpaper cleaning has come Thanks for looking Libor |

What do you think of the Baluard stuff? I had one of their armored lokos. Fit was terrible.

Hi, Fred, I agree, all of them fit bad, so far the covered car was the worst one, and the others not too much better. Only the passenger car fits good enough. These kits are cast in some funny resin, many defekts, broken parts, even missing pieces. But if anyone wants to go through that, after hard work a nice result can turn out. Cheers Libor |

Interior of the passenger wagon almost finished, I´ll add a couple more things and final touch before sticking on the roof. Small progress on the other cars made too, details can be seen at my website. Tomorrow I am getting a base for my diorama, so I´ll be able to set up basic scheme of layout. Thanks for looking Libor |

Thanks, Mike, I have finally made moulds for the buffers and first castings coming out. These are for cars, I will make another mould soon for locomotives, with bigger bolts and nuts heads. They will have also a bit different base. However, now I can finish the rest of the Baluard´s cars. The masters were made from Evergreen plastic rods, tubes and sheets, bolts and nuts from Master club used. I also got my base today and here is very first basic drawing of my idea: Full detailed building log of the German train diorama is available at my website since last week: 1/35 German train diorama Cheers Libor |

And with the transfers applied, ready for finish. I have done some more work on my diorama, the building was painted with surfacer and some areas with base color. Hair spray technique will be used here, so base color will show up on spots where the final color applied over the hair spray is washed down. The same for the crane. Thanks for looking Libor |
