What a rare and beautiful subject! RN ships are usually so elegant looking and sported some of the most striking camouflage patterns of any navy.

Send us more!

Amazing Peter, absolutely amazing. I agree, the camo is too cool for school.

Where in East Anglia are you?

She“s a little beauty and its interesting that the colourscheme matches the scemes used on British tanks used in the desert - "one colour fits all"

Yes Jan, I hadn't thought of that, you're right. So, who's idea was it first or was there a bit of coordination. Probably a good paint salesman who had a job lot of sky blue, and taub.

Thanks for the nice comments, guys - always a pleasure.

Acually, Eric I'm not in E Anglia but Kent and Sussex. I don't know how the wrong location got into the mix. I'll have to inform the management.

And so, back to Averoff!

Cheers,

Hey Peter!

Another great model from Fulgoney's ShipYard!
As usual you have done an excellent work with the camouflage job, excellent rigging and good mood/balance of crew aboard the ship.
A winner!
It's good to see that you are able to split attention between Averoff and other projects, keeping the focus.

Thank you shipmates, and looking back over my last 4 builds, they are all camo. Am I stuck in a rut?

The Danae, Rui, was for Telford and was agreed with the guys that we would all build cruisers. I am now exclusively working on Averoff. It may look very advanced but the smaller detail takes longer than placing the funnels and gun turrets combined, and there's a lot of it still to do.

Cheers, guys.
