Because all they would talk about was mud packs and coupon clipping!

OMG! I am so NOT PC!

I'm totally just kidding. I know Mary (Tankysgal) use to post a lot, but, haven't heard from her here in a while.

Get it going again, Terri! I think you Ladies have as much to contribute as any of us men-folk.

Right on!

Hi Terri. It's hard to say what exactly happened. When it was first launched, it was exclusive to females only. You had to email the moderator to get permissioning to view the positings. So, the vast majority here doesn't even know how much it was really used. Eventually, it was opened to all members, but it didn't seem to get much traffic.

Perhaps it isn't needed anymore, judging from the responses the ladies had to their recent Campaign. The quality of the work was 1st class, and the comments and encouragement from the general membership was helpful and respectful. If you want to try and resurrect the Forum, that's great. I'm in favor of anything that increases the postings and contributions to the site, and the work you ladies exhibited in your campaign showed me that there is a pool of untapped talent that needs to be showcased more. If you want to do that in your own Forum, that's great. If you just want to post your work in the general Forums, that's fine, too. Either way, everyone will get to enjoy and learn from your work, exchange ideas and techniques, and hopefully, get better.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi there Cuhail , MJ . I'm just surprised that this was drop ! But there doesn't seem to be very many of us Ladies on here . ( yes I know I'm on Lot's ! ) 7 of us for the Ladies campaign was great . wasn't expecting that at all .

Maybe from the start of it if members didn't have to get permission to view , kind of a turn off in some aspecks . There might have been greater success with the forum . We are all here for the same thing we love building models ! Share with every one ! Having low female members doesn't aid either , not that there is anything wrong with that . I would love to see more of us Ladies online and building ( we are very talented )

I do like the idea of having a Ladies forum to welcome new comers to the hobby . I spent a lot of time searching to see how many Ladies there are for the Ladies Campaign so maybe having a places for us girls to meet other members on the network , but in ways I also see your point MJ on the postings . I do all of my on Aeroscale might drive you guy's nuts sometimes , but it's a welcoming site !

So if this was to start again the format would have to change so it's on all site's !! Open to all members has to fair for everyone ! I have been thinking about how to get more girls involved in the hobby for a very long time . Not an easy task .......i would like to see the model manufactures aid in this , since we do buy their kit as well .

I'm talking to much now , so I'll shut up !

Hi Terri,
This was my idea. We have a couple of girls in the Bulldog club and there were a few around the Kitmaker network. However out of the total number of members there are very few of you but all are equal to any of the blokes within the network. As a minority of us have formed the Bulldog club so I thought it would be nice for the ladies to have their own place. In the early days it was quite well used but I guess there isn't a real need for it as it slowly began not to be used. However it is here, which is unique as I don't think that you will find a Ladies forum on any other model forum

It always been used on and off as you can see from the threads I think it has just declined over time it might always pick up again though. I think a couple of the female modellers that posted on here quite abit have left, not active forum members/posting or not logged into the site for a while.

I never really posted that much in here as I just post on the other forums about my builds etc I agree with Mal aswell

I used to check it every couple of days, but when posting came to a screeching halt, I kind of forgot about it being here.

Hi Pam,
As you can see this forum is pretty much not in use, but you can use it by all means You can also post in any of the other forums on the Bulldog site, except the club forum (unless you are a member of the IPMS already, then I can give you the access?) .
There is also, of course, the rest of the, massive, Kitmaker Network group of sites to post in, so don't be shy.
We are here to help so if you have any modelling, or forum posting questions, then ask away.
A couple of questions for you first though:
What do you model?
What scale do you model in?
It is always good if you can show pictures of what you are doing, it helps us to be able to help you If, like most, starting out in modelling, you aren't to sure about taking pictures of your models, we can talk you through that as well
