Hi everyone,
Would anyone be interested in doing a Luftwaffe 1946 campaign? This would obviously include Luftwaffe jets that were flown as well as projects that never actually left the ground. We could also include other jet projects from the period. I was thinking, having looked at the campaign schedule for 2009, that a June 1st 2009 start date (running for 6 months) could work. Any takers? I'll submit it if we get the 10 participants needed. Thanks, Mike. |

Hi Mike I'd be up for that one - I've got a number of suitable kits in the Stash looking for an excuse to be built. All the best Rowan |

Hi Rowan, Welcome to the campaign proposal Hopefully we can drum up a few more so we can start thinking a bit more seriously about what kits to make. I have no idea myself what I'll do, but there seem to be lots of kits available. Any ideas what you'd build? Mike. |

Hi Mike I keep being tempted to do Planet Models' Focke-Wulf Flitzer - reviewed HERE: but I also bought Dragon's forward-swept wing He 162D the other day, and that looks great fun too: All the best Rowan |

Hi, Welcome aboard Brian, just 6 more and we're there Nice kits Rowan! I'll be making a trip to my LHS over the Xmas period to see what's on offer there. I must say I like the look of those Dragon "Salamander" kits. Revell do one in 1/32 which could be tempting ..., or maybe a Komet ..., or even that funny flying wing by Horten, ... decisions, decisions! Here's a useful list from a great website on some of the kits available www.luft46.com Now I really hope this campaign gets off the ground |

That is exactly what I did too. I've not built a kit for a couple of years as my time seems to be swallowed by the 1:1 scale diorama project- the house, and doing the mess-free profiles of course. However I cannot turn this down, plus with a June start date it gives me plenty of time to plan. Oh what to build? He P1078C, Me Leitwerk T or one of too many to mention. We did have a similar campaign a couple of years ago called Project X. Wonder if it would still fly as this campaigns title? There's a campaign badge and some banners on my photo gallery already. Oh yes I got conned last time in to building 3 kits I think. 1 will suffice this time. So yes I'm in. (Holdfast) Mal...Mal....maybe you can at last get one of your Ta183s off the shelf? Oh would it be a straight out of the box build or plus add-ons/detailing? Cheers Peter |

I'd love to do this campaign but I'm already signed up for EVERY campaign this upcoming year. Total of 9, and I'm trying to get a campaign started in the AutoModeler forum as well. There is no way I can take on another one. ...........................................unless it started like really really really late in the year.

Hi Peter, I'm a fan of your artwork and aircraft profiles, it's great to have you aboard. I'd like to keep the title of the campaign as it is, especially if there's been a project x one before. I had some time this afternoon and came up with two ideas for ribbons. Let me know what you think guys. I think we need just 4 more takers ... Ribbon one Ribbon 2 Both depict a Luftwaffe eagle with a defence of the reich band as background. Thanks, Mike. |

When it rains, it pours...I'm a little over-extended myself, as far as Campaign commitments go, but...I love the Luft '46 planes. I've debated with myself whether I can take on another campaign, and the final arguement that decided the matter went something like, " oh, just quit your whining and sign up already", ... so, count me in.
Oh, and Mike, if we are voting on the ribbon, I really like the looks of #2. Outstanding job. I'm glad it's different, because I am already the proud holder of the ProjectX campaign ribbon.
Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike I like the layout of the first ribbon because the 46 stands out better. If anyone wants a bit of colour, why not try a different Reich defence band for the background? All the best Rowan |

Thanks Rowan. Actually I've moved away from the band as the background and went for a more neutral colour. Let me introduce you to ribbon 3: I've also used a button effect to make it more realistic as a ribbon. Personally, this 3rd one is my favourite. Any ideas anyone? |

Hi Steffen You do surprise me (NOT)! LOL! But, at least, I hope you appreciate seeing "Luftwaffe 1946" spelled in full, rather than the abbreviation which you loathe so badly. Hmm - maybe this could be the chance to do my Fw 190V-19 Special that's got pushed to one side in the Butcher Bird campaign. All the best Rowan |

Hi guys, We've got 12 enlisted now so hopefully we'll get the official nod of approval soon @Rowan: A V-19 Special, very nice indeed. What happened to the Flitzer? Maybe you could build both? @Steffen: a campaign you're not interested in, eh? Never say never You could be lucky number 13 on our list @Mark: Hi Mark, welcome aboard. If you want to enlist you have to click the link in the first post, log in and click the "Enlist" button. Your call sign should then appear on the list. All the best, Mike. |

Hi gang @Rowan: I do not worry about abbreviations. Lw 46 is totally o.k. but Luft 46 is like Water67 ... What does that mean .. nothing ! ... we talk again when you have finished the 4 Models you promised in the campaigns @Mike: Well, I have a display in mind where a P.1101 or Ta 183 stands together with a Sabre, MiG-15 and Tunnan but there are so many much more interesting projects on my bench that I am happy that I do not participate in this campaign all the best Steffen |
