Among the recent additions to Revell's range of 1/32 scale aircraft is this re-boxed version of Hasegawa's excellent large-scale "Kurfürst".

Thanks for sharing the info on how to possibly improve the kit and the links for the additional info.

I have recently bought this one for my stash, so the review was very helpful.

Thanks for your time and effort, guys

Hi Rowan!

I knew you had something like that in mind! This is a very nice review and I'm looking forward to see the others too...

Hi Rowan

sorry that I did (and will) not read your review (1/32 is just not "my scale") but I have had a short look at the kit. There are some very fine details of this boxing that easily can be missed. e.g. Ulrich Leverenz (markings, instructions and boxart IIRC) kindly provided the info about how to improve the belly area around the ejector chute of the engine mounted gun (origially demonstrated by Vincent Kermorgant ... one of the real Bf 109 afficionados).

As for the price .. it is 25 Euro here and I think that is o.k. (seems there is someone greedy in the food supply chain ...)

cheers

Steffen

Hi Steffen

Fear not - I included a link to Vincent's article on the belly modifications in the Review.

25 Euros?! I'd more than say that's O.K. - at that price the kit is excellent value! How much are the Hasegawa versions in Germany?

All the best

Hi Rowan

thats nice as it is surely better to understand when you have some photos and not only a drawing.

As for the Hasegawa price. It is not so easy to determine as there is no "fixed" sale price as on the Revell kit. Moduni (I have no stakes in this shop, I'm just a customer) has it on sale for 38 and I suppose around 40 is a good price for the Hasegawa here in Germany (it is 4200 Yen ~25 Euro at HLJ .. which is surely not the cheapest source)

best wishes

Steffen

Hi again Steffen

That's much more like the price differential on previous Revell / Hasegawa re-boxings over here too... it's a bit of swizz this time!

All the best

I paid 19 LVL (Latvian Lats) for mine in Riga. It is equal to 27 Euros, so I could not resist It is definently cheaper than the Hasegawa version and cheaper than the same Revell version in Denmark.
